Spring Refresh, Office Update

Spring is finally here which means a refresh and update on everything — your home, car, and wardrobe. Most men don't update their spring wardrobe and definitely not their office attire, but even your office style is deserving of a little updating. This could mean removing clothing layers, choosing more spring-ish colors, or also opting to wear more lightweight spring fabrics. With the change of seasons, I'll be the first to encourage to ditch the old, traditional solid-colored polos and add some more stylish, noteworthy pieces to your work wardrobe.

I think men's fashion has progressed to a point where there are so many options available for stylish, versatile, yet comfortable pieces that can be worn to work, but unfortunately a lot of men aren't taking advantage of it! In this day and age, many of the clothing that you find in stores can be worn to the office and also be worn to the Friday happy hour after work. I work in a corporate setting and it's gotten to the point that I rarely buy clothes that are "weekend clothes" or "work clothes", many of my clothing is versatile, both in style and function. The majority of my pieces can be worn to work as well as out to dinner and drinks on the weekend, which is also getting me more bang for my buck in terms of functionality.

If you aren't sure of where to go to check out some stylish and versatile men's clothing, some of my favorites are Banana Republic, J. Crew, H&M, Forever 21, Macy's, and JCPenney. I'd even recommend TJMaxx and Marshall's for the awesome discounted finds! If you have a higher budget, I'd also recommend to check out Ticknors.

My look here is definitely an outfit that I would wear to the office and also to the bar/restaurant for drinks after work. It's stylish, versatile, and comfortable. Nothing screams spring more than a fresh linen shirt, which I've paired with a cropped navy blue and white pin striped pant. The pants are very comfortable and adds a little bit of sportiness with a drawstring around the waist instead of belt loops. I would finish the look off with a nice pair of grey loafers. To dress the look up, you could also add a fedora such as I have.

My Look:

Shirt: Banana Republic

Pants: Forever 21

Shoes: Steve Madden

Hat: H&M

Leather Laptop Bag: Banana Republic
