Dapper Daryl Digs

It's official - I've finally spread my wings and ventured out of my parent's home! Now lets hope I don't flop to the ground like a bird on its first struggle flight. However, it feels good to be able to say, "Okay, I think I'm stable enough to be on my own - and get everything on my own." I mean, this is one of the reasons we go to school, get a degree, and a good job right? So that we can do these type of adulting things? So here I am, in my own space - ahhh.
One thing that I've been super excited about is getting to decorating my new place! I've been enjoying doing so, and to think I get to do this for each and every room gives me so much excitement. A little fun fact about me: I used to want to be an interior designer my senior of high school. I applied and got accepted to the Art Institute of Chicago, where I was all set to attend classes, however, last minute I changed my mind, majors, and schools. I ended up registering to the University of Toledo super late and started classes two weeks late into the semester. However, I think I made the right choice going to college for business - I wouldn't be where I am now!
On the other hand, I'm looking forward to sharing my progress on decorating my new digs and hopefully provide some inspo to others - especially all the guys out there who may not have the eye for home design!
I still have a lot left to do (I've only been moved in for 1.5 days), such as buy a coffee table, end tables, lamps, greenery etc... But I'm excited to take you all on this journey with me! Check out some photos below of my living room space:
Side note: Ignore the stock image in the photo frames LOL, I only hung them to get the placement. But I WILL be putting my own photos in there haha.
