Downtown Living

Toledo finally hit 80 degrees! No better way to spend the day than hanging out downtown with good drinks, good food, good views, good people, and good vibes! I always complain about people complaining there's nothing to do in Toledo, when there actually is; there's more than the mall, movies, and Applebees half off apps. As a start, just look at the daily list of events on Toledo.com.

A couple friends and I visited multiple spots during our time downtown. First, Fleetwood's Tap, where we chilled on the patio and soaked up the sun while I sipped on some bomb Moscato. Next stop, NINE, which is across the street from Fleetwood Tap. We took the elevator up to the rooftop where I again was able to sip on some bomb Moscato (LOL)...and watch the Mud Hens game FOR FREE! The patio directly overlooks the stadium (hint, hint). We then journeyed over to Ye Olde Dirty Bird for delicious wings and conversation, while still soaking up the sun on the patio. We finished the day off by going a few blocks down to my favorite coffeeshop, Claro Coffee Bar. We went to four places and I only spent about $25 total - that's a movie ticket and popcorn & drink. It was so refreshing to see so many people downtown walking around, hanging out, drinking, eating, and just enjoying themselves! It's safe to say downtown is trying to be poppin so that means you have to too.

To my Toledoans, go out and explore the city! Especially downtown!
