Rugged Spring

Just because spring is here doesn't mean you have to stick to bright, pastel colors and flip flops. Especially since the season of outdoor concerts and music festivals are upon us, darker colors (hides stains and sweat) and boots can be a perfect go-to for your attire. Nothing screams spring and music festivals more than ripped, denim shorts. For the top, go with a shirt that's loose fitting and sort of baggy. Pairing the denim frayed shorts with boots gives a more rugged look. I attended Lollapalooza back in 2011 and there was a rain storm during the Nas and Damien Marley set, causing Grant Park to become a muddy lake. Everyone, including myself, had our feet and legs covered in mud all the way up to our knees. Having a pair of boots during this moment would've been clutchhh ;) Finally, finish the look off with a cap or beanie and other accessories (watch, bracelets etc..) to add some character.
